“Christ Our Life”

Jesus indicated that we His followers are in the world, but not of the world.  Paul wrote that our citizenship is in heaven, and that we have been seated together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. We are in Christ, and were united with Him in His death, burial, and resurrection.  And though one day we will be raised bodily from the dead, we can live victoriously over sin in this life in the power of His resurrection.  Because Christ is the source of our spiritual lives, we should set our minds on things above where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God (Col 3:1-4).  In other words, we should focus on our union with Christ and live daily in the realities of that union.  We must live with a heavenly orientation!  May everything we do be with Christ in mind, and with the anticipation of His return.  “When Christ Who is our life appears, then you also will also appear with Him in glory” (Col. 3:4).
