Buying Time

Stewardship may be defined as the proper management of my life including my time, talents, and possessions, in order to glorify God and advance His work on earth. Today we are going to consider the stewardship of our time.
Paul wrote in Ephesians 5:15-16, “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Time is easy to waste! We all have 24 hours every day. So, we have time, but we must redeem it, buy it up, and use it for the glory of God. It takes wisdom to use our time in the best ways. Douglas Moo, wrote, “An important aspect of wise living is to use the (short) time God has given us to the best effect.” (Colossians and Philemon, pg. 329)
