What a blessing to know that people are praying regularly for you! Paul informed the Colossians that he prayed for them “always” (1:3), and “unceasingly” (1:9). We certainly should pray for one another faithfully as each of us endeavors to live for the Lord. We should certainly pray for others when they are sick or experiencing times of difficulty, but we also ought to pray for spiritual health and progress. Among the requests Paul made to God for the saints at Colossae, was both a knowledge and an understanding of the Lord’s will. He prayed that they “may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding” (1:9). The knowledge of God’s will is found only in the Bible. And we also need understanding and wisdom from the Lord to apply His will to our everyday lives. And as we do, we will walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him (1:10). Let us pray for one another!
