Stewards of Our Gifts

This is the last of our seven messages on stewardship. Stewardship may be defined as the proper management of my life including my time, talents, and possessions in order to glorify God and advance His work on earth. We all have certain talents or natural abilities which God gave us at birth, and we should use those for His glory and the good of others. Today, we are going to consider the spiritual gifts which God gave us when we trusted in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
In 1 Peter 4:10-11, there are three things we ought to know about spiritual gifts:
1. God gave every believer at least one spiritual gift.
2. God gave us spiritual gifts for the benefit of others.
3. God gave us those spiritual gifts for His own glory.

As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 “If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (1 Peter 4:10-11)
